Medicare Advantage (Part C)
Medicare Advantage plans take over from Original Medicare and roll your coverage into one plan, sold by private carriers approved by Medicare. Most of these plans include:
- Hospital and medical coverage
- Prescription drug coverage
- Provider networks
- Copays and out-of-pocket limits
Some plans throw in dental, vision, or hearing coverage, though what you actually get depends on the carrier and the specific plan.
People who like a lower monthly bill, bundled extras, predictable copays, and care coordinated through a network tend to lean this way. The network is the real question. UC Health, TriHealth, and Mercy Health rosters can shift year to year, so confirming your doctors are still in before you enroll saves a lot of trouble later.
